Dive into the Christmas spirit

What better place to immerse yourself in the festive season than at the Natali in Bunifazziu market? Christmas is coming, and it’s time to get festive! This market is a compendium of the best the region has to offer, with 40 craftsmen and traders, whose chalets are open from mid-morning to late into the night from Thursday to Saturday. Drop in at lunchtime for a bite to eat, come back in the afternoon for the children’s entertainment, and come back at the end of the week for an aperitif and a musical evening!

Children's party

Christmas is all about children, and children are the primary source of inspiration for the organizers of Natali in Bunifazziu. They’ve come up with a host of activities to charm, seduce, surprise and amuse them, and even teach them a creative skill or two. A donkey or pony ride in the Pisan quarter, decorations, an introduction to Christmas traditions from around the world, sporting challenges… There’s something for every taste and every age from three upwards. And I’m told that Santa Claus himself will be coming to meet the children… It’s the perfect time to entrust him with all your wishes!

Who's got the best window?

It’s become a tradition: for Natali in Bunifazziu, the city’s stores vie with each other to come up with the prettiest window display, the one that best expresses the spirit of Christmas. Vote for your favorite and enter a draw to win a gift!

Time to eat!

Natali in Bunifazziu is the ideal place for your gourmet Christmas shopping. Whether you’re salivating at the idea of a good figateddu, imagining marvellous desserts in which an artisanal spread will have its place, or wanting to taste the culinary creations of a caterer before deciding which ones will end up on your table, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Carefully selected, the professionals installed in the chalets or under the loggia of the Arsenal will not lack arguments to seduce your taste buds. That’s a promise!

And since they’ll be on hand all day long, and well into the evening, you’ll have plenty of time to try out new recipes from your favorite restaurants, even on more than one occasion… Gourmandise, quand tu nous tiens! Whether you want to nibble on the go or take your dishes home to enjoy in the comfort of your own home, the food artisans at Natali in Bunifazziu are sure to convince you.

And since Bonifacio likes to promote short circuits, organic and good food, and its producers, there’s a good chance you’ll be tasting products that have emerged from the earth just a few kilometers away.

Discover creators and craftsmen

It’s no secret that Bonifacians often have golden hands and ideas to spare. Take a look at some of their Instagram accounts, and you’re sure to be surprised and charmed. Although they are sometimes discreet, hiding away in the depths of their workshops to imagine and create jewelry, accessories, scents, decorative objects, cosmetics or clothing, there’s a very good chance you’ll come across one of these creators in the aisles of Natali in Bunifazziu.

This pretty market is a treasure trove of nuggets from which it will undoubtedly be difficult to choose. But as this is a time for spoiling all those you love, it’s easy to find THE perfect gift for your best friend, your cousin who loves natural skincare or your sweetheart who loves original scents… And as some of these artisans sometimes join the market along the way, several visits won’t go amiss!

All for the music!

The problem with visiting Natali in Bunifazziu? You don’t want to go home! On weekdays, the market is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., but from Thursday to Saturday evenings, a festive atmosphere is guaranteed right from the aperitif, with live bands playing. You’ll find them first in the nearby lanes and squares of the Pisan quarter, and from 8 p.m. onwards, it’s under the loggia of the Arsenal that the evening takes on an even more festive air. And, of course, the gourmet and other chalets will be open to satisfy your appetite.

If you like music, but not so much the village fete atmosphere, there are plenty of concerts on offer, including one by the Coro di sole choir, a recital by students from the singing school, and you can even learn polyphonic singing in specially dedicated workshops… Plenty to get you into the Christmas spirit!

Did you know?

It’s become a tradition: during Natali in Bunifazziu, sportsmen and women, including Sunday sportsmen and women, also take part, and if they have a sense of humor – and a disguise – it’s even better! In spassighjata, it’s 8.5 km down alleyways and staircases and 350 metres of ascent.

Party time!

Wooden chalets, music, entertainment, lights… all in a Pisan district that takes on the feel of a traditional Christmas market in Northern Europe. Natali in Bunifazziu is a little extra soul, naturally created in the heart of the upper town. Bonifaciens love to meet here at any time of day and welcome visitors.
