What if the party wasn't an escape, but rather a moment of intense, cathartic awareness, creating committed situations that reclaim the present, the right to the city and the right to speak?
Here, the party is not a "means of revolution", it is an anticipated form of it: a detonator and a laboratory for social change where life ceases to be framed by the harshness of a normalised daily routine and where the individual rediscovers the power to act collectively, experimenting with a different way of existing, of speaking, of thinking. Through the meeting of these intoxicated spirits and this stolen moment on the popular stage, the festival defies authority and creates breaches where transgression, hope, love and connection are invented.
Nimu Dormi (no one sleeps) explores these forms of occupation in search of truth and justice, born of the action of a people who keep watch. The exhibition explores the political uses of these forms through a range of imaginative approaches. A show
of reality that stages passions and tensions in a collective, ritualised setting, the festival is its own message: a fiery medium where presence, light, rhythm, body and costume assert insubordination. An act of creation, defiance or survival, it wrests demands from silence or secrecy, and thus draws the new frontiers of our human trajectories.
The event will take place at 4 venues in the Citadelle of Bonifacio.
It brings together 12 to 15 artists in the official selection, as well as 8 artists in the Vidéodrome screening programme.
The programme also includes 3 performances and highlights 3 artists in the Capsule programme (Corsican creation).
