The Bonifacian association Dì Ghi Di Scé has been working for over thirty years to preserve the Bonifacian language, which today has only a hundred or so speakers. Thanks to the commitment of its members, the association has been able to bring to fruition a major heritage project: bringing together Corsican artistic talent around the language and creating the album "A Me Lengua", designed to promote Bonifacian cultural heritage in Corsica and beyond.
Exceptionally this year, the traditional San Rocu evening will take place on Monday 18 August at 9pm, in the square courtyard of the Town Hall.
This year's event will be dedicated to women, particularly those in the association, who play a vital role in preserving and passing on the Bonifacian language.
On the programme:
-Animated reading: "Le Cahier de Serena", a short story by Alain Di Meglio
-Cabaret: a new edition with special guests
-A convivial spuntinu to round off the evening
Come and share a unique moment, where culture, conviviality and heritage meet in a warm atmosphere in the heart of Bonifacio.
Admission free.
