From 9.30pm on Friday 15 August, head to the Quai d'Honneur for a colourful evening of music by Diana di l'Alba. Founded in 1978, this emblematic collective has breathed a breath of modern air into traditional Corsican music. Since its rebirth in 1993, the group has performed and recorded extensively, both on the island and internationally, with an infectious energy. Through song, poetry and dance, Diana di l'Alba proudly defends the Corsican language and its cultural roots.
The highlight of the evening? The fireworks from the Bastion de l'Étendard at 11pm, lighting up the Citadelle with thousands of stars.
And that's not all: the concert will resume immediately afterwards, to keep the festive atmosphere going until midnight.
The last event of the summer is on Monday 8 September, with a final fireworks display to bring the Nativity celebrations, Bonifacio's patron saint, to a fitting close.
Our tips for making the most of it?
Sit out on the terrace for an aperitif-chill or a dinner of local flavours, slip onto a pontoon between the boats, take the start of the Campu Rumanilu path, or lose yourself in the narrow streets of the Upper Town in search of the perfect spot. Whatever the angle, the spectacle is guaranteed. A sky vibrant with music, light... and magic.
Here's some practical information to help you make the most of your evening:
- Valli car park (entrance to the town) and Monte Leone car park: €10 package including a shuttle bus that runs between these two car parks and the Marine (little train station) from 10am to 1am.
- Car parks P1 and P5: €8 pass, valid from 6pm to midnight.
To ensure a smooth exit, we strongly recommend that you pay for parking on arrival.
- The Parking Minute closes at 4pm.
- Traffic will be blocked throughout the town (from the COSEC) between 10.45pm and 11.30pm.
