Corsica-Napoli: Passa e Vene is a concert-show celebrating the musical and literary links between Corsica and Naples.

Led by storyteller Orlando Forioso, the show brings together Corsican and Neapolitan artists: Patrizia Gattaceca (voice and guitar), Chiara Di Girolamo (voice and tammorra) and Alfonso Brandi (guitar).

For over thirty years, Orlando Forioso has been highlighting the historical, musical and cultural relationship between Corsica and Naples. In this concert-narrative, the artists explore the bridges between the two cultures: from Neapolitan melodies performed by Tino Rossi with Corsican lyrics, to traditional music that has passed into the operatic repertoire, to great classics such as "O Sole Mio".

The evening also takes us on a journey to the heart of popular traditions, with dances such as the Pizzica and the Tammurriata, combining music, dance and storytelling.

Literature also takes centre stage, with readings of excerpts from the works of the great Neapolitan writer Erri De Luca, including Montedidio, Three Horses and La musica provata.

Between music, dance and literature, Corsica-Napoli: Passa e Vene is a real invitation to travel, celebrating the friendship and cultural exchanges between Corsica and Naples.

A TeatrEuropa production, in collaboration with Teatro del Mediterraneo, with the support of the Collectivité de Corse.
