The Royal Thames Yacht Club (RTYC), founded in 1775, is the oldest yacht club in the UK. In 2025, it celebrates its 250th anniversary with a series of prestigious events, including a commemorative regatta on the River Thames, a major regatta at Cowes on the Isle of Wight, as well as numerous sailing competitions, maritime parades and onshore festivities.
As part of these celebrations, the club is organising an exceptional nautical rally in the western Mediterranean, linking the region's most beautiful ports of call. This event is aimed at boat owners, yachtsmen sailing aboard chartered yachts, and enthusiasts joining in the adventure by road.
There are two departure points: Porto Cervo in Sardinia, with an opening dinner at the Costa Smeralda Yacht Club, or Saint-Tropez, where other participants can embark. The itinerary includes iconic stops such as Bonifacio, Ajaccio, Calvi, Agay, Golfe-Juan and Cannes, culminating in Monaco, where a gala dinner will be held on Tuesday 16 September 2025 at the prestigious Yacht Club de Monaco.
At the end of the rally, the participants will continue the cruise towards the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, skirting the coasts of Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer and the Îles de Lérins. The route will coincide with the opening of the Voiles de Saint-Tropez, offering a unique opportunity to extend the stay in a festive, maritime atmosphere.
An exceptional event, combining tradition, elegance and the spirit of the sea, to experience the Mediterranean in a different way, to the rhythm of the wind and the people you meet.
