If you think about it, this whole thing started because of an apple...

Ulysses returns home at last, after ten years of war and another ten of wandering and captivity to immortal nymphomaniacs. He's lived through storms, crossed paths with monsters, giants and cyclops, been dragged off to hell by gods who are really too stupid, and bumped into companions who are each more stupid than the last. And now HE'S SICK OF IT!

On his way home, he tells his hosts about his misfortunes, and they help him to reach the shores of his beloved Ithaca. But did Penelope wait for him? What has become of her son Telemachus? And who are all these guys squatting in his palace?

Through twenty-seven characters, three crowds and a ram, Camille Prioul revisits the myth and its many interpretations in a storm of joy, anger, fear and melancholy. All that matters is Odysseus' love for his Penelope, regardless of the years, "because we are mortal, because I am hers and she is mine, and we only have one life to be reunited.

Odyssée is a one-man show based on the myth of Ulysses as it has been handed down by the aedes for the last 2,800 years, in a modernised version. The production has no set and relies entirely on the actor. It's funny but not just funny, it's energetic but also tender. In short, it's like life!

The show was written and directed by Camille Prioul, assisted by Julie Macqueron. He is the sole performer in Odyssée, playing each of the characters who respond to each other and evolve together.
