The Tour de Corse à la Voile is a regatta held in Bonifacio, organised by the Bonifacio Yacht Club under the aegis of the French Sailing Federation and the Corsican Sailing League.
Always faithful to its emblematic course of 250 nautical miles non-stop around the Isle of Beauty, this regatta retains its sporting spirit and the legendary camaraderie of passionate sailors.
Every year, crews from all over Europe take up this unique challenge. Alongside a majority of French entries, crews from Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and even Luxembourg testify to the European aura of the event.
It attracts amateur sailors as well as some of the great names in sailing who have left their mark on its history: Florence Arthaud, Franck Cammas, Catherine Chabaud, Kito de Pavant, Sébastien Josse, Lionel Péan (current record holder, in 25 hours 57 minutes and 5 seconds)... An impressive list of achievements for a race that is closer to an ocean adventure than a simple coastal regatta.
Competition schedule to follow.
