The major winter event in Bonifacio is undoubtedly the twelve days of Christmas festivities. Around forty craftspeople, creative producers and restaurateurs, aperitif-concerts, fireworks, workshops and games for young and old and lots and lots of fun await you from 10 December! During the winter months, many establishments remain open: restaurants and bars continue to serve delicious local cuisine in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The smaller but equally charming accommodation offers a more intimate experience for those wishing to discover the beauty of the city outside the high season. Activities such as golf, guided walks and boat trips are also available, allowing you to make the most of Bonifacio’s natural surroundings. Businesses such as boutiques, art galleries and shops remain open for those who wish to shop while enjoying the town’s tranquil atmosphere. Local merchants offer typical products, clothing and accessories, perfect for bringing back a unique souvenir.

The Staircase of the King of Aragon
just for youDiscover one of Bonifacio’s emblematic jewels: the Escalier du Roy d’Aragon.
Between you and me, winter is undoubtedly the ideal season to explore this spectacular descent carved into the rock. It offers breathtaking views of the cliffs, the sea and Sardinia.
Opening times from 12 November 2025 to 3 April 2026: Monday to Saturday at 11am and 2pm.
During the Christmas holidays:
- From 20 December to 4 January. Open from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4pm, Monday to Sunday.
- Closed on 24 and 25 December and 1 January.
Annual closure of the Escalier du Roy d’Aragon from 5 January 2026 to 31 January 2026.
