Description
Trained as a stained glass artist, Elizabeth Rossi has recently turned her attention to a more personal artistic practice. Fascinated by the material of glass, she is now developing a unique universe by creating works entirely in glass.
Her technique is based on meticulous work: she uses a sheet of glass as a support, to which she applies oxides diluted in water. The successive firings, carried out in a glassmaker's kiln at 625°C for several hours, reveal all the richness of the nuances and bring depth and luminosity to the works. The fusing technique, heated to 800°C, also enables him to incorporate different materials such as glass, sand or gravel, giving each creation relief and character. Each stage requires a cooling period, guaranteeing the quality and solidity of the whole.
Through her creations, Elizabeth Rossi seeks to offer an innovative artistic approach, combining softness and dreaminess. Her paintings, with their delicate colours and luminous appearance, are the fruit of a demanding process in which each piece becomes a unique work of art, conceived as a genuine invitation to escape.
