Description

Liliana Rago, a painter of Argentine origin who trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, has pursued her artistic career in France since 1980. Her works, which combine dance and painting, technical skill and self-expression, are featured in international exhibitions and form part of public and private collections in Buenos Aires, New York, London, Paris, Bonifacio, Jakarta, Singapore, Montpellier…Her inspiration – whether for portraits, urban façades or scenes of Argentine tango – is also expressed through drawings, engravings and sculptures. Her paintings captivate with the nostalgic softness of their colours, whilst her drawings engage the viewer and transport us to the very heart of the dance. “I find my inspiration in being surrounded by the dance, music and poetry of my city, Buenos Aires, in its colourful neighbourhoods and its Argentine tango balls.” Practical information: - Free admission
