Description

The Bonifacian association Dì Ghi Di Scé has been working for over thirty years to preserve the Bonifacian language, which today has only around a hundred speakers. Thanks to the dedication of its members, it has brought to fruition a major heritage project: bringing together Corsican artistic talent around this language and creating the album ‘A Me Lengua’, designed to promote Bonifacian cultural heritage in Corsica and beyond. An exceptional evening dedicated to Bonifacio’s Ligurian heritage and the historical, cultural and linguistic ties that bind it to Carloforte in Sardinia. The meeting with the Tabarchini of Carloforte will highlight this shared heritage, passed down from generation to generation on both sides of the Mediterranean. The evening will also feature a screening of the documentary film ‘Bonifacio, chronicle of a language that refused to die’, directed by Jean-Jacques Torre and Michèle Don-Ignazi and broadcast on France 3 ViaStella. The second part of the evening will feature the traditional cabaret, before continuing in a convivial atmosphere over an aperitif. An opportunity to discover and share the ever-vibrant Ligurian identity, linking Bonifacio and Carloforte. Practical information: - Free admission
