Fête de la Musique

On Friday June 21, from 8pm to 11pm, Bonifacio will be vibrating to the rhythm of the Fête de la Musique! This not-to-be-missed event will transform the town into an open-air musical stage, with free concerts in the Citadel and on the Marine. Several squares, quays and alleyways will be taken over to offer you a diversity of musical styles: from Corsican songs to French and international variety melodies, bewitching jazz and gospel harmonies. Join us for an evening where music unites and delights every heart!

A Chjama

PLACE D'ARMES - UPPER TOWN

Hailing from the far south of Corsica, A Chjama is a vocal and musical ensemble made up of three singers and musicians. Their repertoire is varied, ranging from secular to sacred polyphony, from traditional songs to contemporary pieces.

The group’s name evokes the call to sing that has always been felt by young Corsicans keen to promote their culture and values.

Isaac Kemo

LOGGIA SAINTE-MARIE-MAJEURE - HAUTE-VILLE

Isaac Kemo is a saxophonist from Côte d’Ivoire, introduced to music at the age of 6 by his music-loving father. At the age of 8, he discovered the saxophone and made it his instrument of choice.

A talented improviser, Isaac combines jazz, afro-jazz, soul and funk, drawing inspiration from legends such as John Coltrane, Fela Kuti and Manu Dibango. His international career took off in 2009 when he represented Côte d’Ivoire at the Jeux de la Francophonie and won a silver medal at the Cen-Sad Games.

Core di Sole Choir

Halle de l'Arsenal - HAUTE-VILLE

Coro di Sole brings together amateur singers from the various villages of the parish sector in the far south of Corsica, under the direction of Father Olivier Djido and accompanied on piano by Faustin Tchagole. The choir will perform songs from the gospel repertoire and French and international variety.

OXY

PLACE FONDAGO - HAUTE-VILLE

What makes Laurence on vocals, Jean-Mathieu on drums, Camille on bass and Michel on guitar truly unique is their varied repertoire that crosses musical and cultural boundaries. The OXY group revisits Corsican music with passion, offering authentic interpretations of songs that sound like tributes to their island roots. They don’t hesitate to move on to French and international variety, performing classics that make all generations sing and dance.

Greg Solinas

RUE FRED SCAMARONI - HAUTE-VILLE

The modern style of Greg Solinas, a renowned guitarist on the new jazz scene in the south of France, is inspired by Bebop, gypsy guitar, pop and bossa nova.
In the course of his career, he has met legends such as Mike Stern, Sylvain Luc and Michel Petrucciani, and performed on prestigious stages.
Originally from Ajaccio, Greg Solinas remains deeply attached to Corsica, where he performs every summer and takes part in numerous musical and cultural projects on the island.
As part of his “Solo Project: Jazz Stories”, Greg Solinas will offer a live instrumental concert, revisiting jazz standards, pop music, bossa nova and much more in his own unique style.

I Pialinchi

QUAI BANDA DEL FERRO - MARINE

Nico and Marco form the Twister group, a musical duo that has been livening up Bonifacian parties for 20 years. Nicolas plays percussion, while Marco plays guitar and sings. They offer a diverse repertoire combining French and international variety.

Bijou's Band

QUAI D'HONNEUR - NAVY

The five musicians of Bijou’s Band, who specialize in Brazilian music, perform the bewitching rhythms of bossa nova and the catchy melodies of samba. But their repertoire doesn’t stop there: they also explore the sounds of the 70s, 80s and 90s, while incorporating touches of blues, funk and RnB. Their passion for world music is evident in every note. Get ready to rock with Bijou’s Band!
