Description
As a reward at the end of the trail, you’ll arrive at Fazziò beach after a good hour’s walk from Bonifacio (or just thirty minutes if you set off from Paragan beach, which is difficult to reach).
You’ll need to follow the ‘Strada Vecia’ path. It’s a lovely walk through the maquis with some remarkable views. After admiring the citadel, the Madonetta lighthouse and the sea caves, a refreshing dip will be just the thing!
Less crowded and less accessible than Bonifacio’s ‘star beaches’, this one offers a marvellous seabed and a magnificent panorama. It’s well worth the effort! In fact, sightseeing boats never fail to make a detour here.
Don’t forget that you’re in a nature reserve – the Bouches de Bonifacio. Please follow the rules displayed on the signs and take all your rubbish away with you.
