Description
Maora is a beach with two sides to it, but whether by day or by night, it’s always bustling!
At the far end of the Gulf of Sant’Amanza, less than a 15-minute drive from Bonifacio Marina, lies Maora Beach, which stretches for around 800 metres. This easily accessible sandy beach offers a wide range of activities: as it’s often windy, you can enjoy sailing or surfing here. Hire a pedalo, play beach volleyball… and those seeking a bit more peace and quiet can hire a lilo and relax. Several beachside restaurants offer a chance to enjoy a meal by the water, at lunchtime or in the evening, in a relaxed atmosphere.
On the right-hand side of the beach is the small port of Gurgazu, as well as a few hotels in the vicinity.
Don’t forget that you’re in a nature reserve – the Bouches de Bonifacio. Please follow the rules displayed on the signs and take all your rubbish away with you.
