PLAGES DE SPERONE

These two famous beaches, with their ultra-fine sand and crystal-clear water, deserve every accolade. The downside is that they’re very busy in July and August… but they remain a gem of Bonifacio in the early and late seasons. These are the beaches known as ‘Petit Sperone’ and ‘Grand Sperone’ (a small one and a large one!). You reach them by continuing along the path after crossing Piantarella beach. They’re well worth the short walk. You’ll find incredibly fine, dazzling white sand there. First up is Petit Sperone, a magnificent setting amongst the rocks, opposite the island of Piana. And, if you fancy it, you can double the pleasure by continuing on to Grand Sperone beach, about a 15-minute walk away (following the route of the famous Sperone golf course). There you’ll find more space and just as much beauty. Smoking is not permitted on these beaches. Please remember that you are in a nature reserve, the Strait of Bonifacio. Please follow the rules displayed on the signs and take all your rubbish with you.
