Accredited Tourist Information Centre: Category 1
The classification of tourist information centres in France by the Ministry of Tourism is an assessment system designed to recognise and promote the quality of services provided by tourist information centres across the country. The classification enables travellers to choose trusted destinations and tourist information centres, guaranteeing a certain standard of quality and professionalism.
From the ‘Qualité Tourisme’ mark to the ‘Destination d’excellence’ label
As a holder of the ‘Qualité Tourisme’ label, renewed in 2022, the Municipal Tourist Office is now continuing its commitment through the ‘Destination d’excellence’ scheme.
This government-awarded label places the quality of hospitality and services at the heart of the initiative, whilst strengthening requirements in terms of environmental responsibility: resource management, sustainable transport, energy and digital efficiency, waste reduction and accessibility.
The Bonifacio Tourist Office is participating in this new certification process. The assessment will take the form of a mystery visit between 16 September and 16 October 2026, at the main office in the Citadel and at the tourist information office at the Bastion de l’Étendard.
Towards the ‘Tourisme & Handicap’ label
The Bonifacio Municipal Tourist Office is also committed to a process aimed at obtaining the ‘Tourisme & Handicap’ label.
This government-awarded label aims to ensure reliable information on the accessibility of tourist sites and services, and to promote a welcoming environment tailored to people with disabilities.
This initiative is part of our commitment to offering an increasingly accessible and inclusive experience, so that everyone can plan and enjoy their stay in Bonifacio in the best possible conditions.
