Find out more about the programme for these three days below: FRIDAY 18 SEPTEMBER • 8.00 pm: night-time tour ‘Bonifacio through the ages’, with Nela Nino, tour guide. As night falls, Bonifacio takes on a whole new atmosphere. Harbour Master’s Office, on the Marine – Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes – Limited to 30 people – Booking essential SATURDAY 19 SEPTEMBER • Fondation du Patrimoine: collection of donations for the restoration of the small shrine (an 18th-century wooden statue) of the Confrérie Sainte-Marie-Madeleine. Saint-Dominique Church, in the Upper Town • From 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm: self-guided tour of the former oratory and Sainte-Marie-Madeleine Chapel (Maison des Confréries). A talk tracing its history through the centuries, given by a member of the Confrérie Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, at 4.00 pm. • From 9.00 am to 6.30 pm: the historic monument, the Escalier du Roy d’Aragon, in the Upper Town, will be open to the public. • From 10.00 am to 5.30 pm: the Bastion de l’Étendard will be open, featuring, in the underground rooms, the exhibition ‘Faux-airs de Faussaires’, an educational project carried out with the ULIS class at Bonifacio Primary School, as well as the opening of the historic site Le Gouvernail in the Upper Town. • From 10.00 am to 6.30 pm: explore the Citadel of Bonifacio with an audio guide, available for you to use. Starting point: Bonifacio Municipal Tourist Office in the Citadel, in the Upper Town – Tour duration: 1 hour 30 minutes – Self-guided • From 10.00 am to 5.00 pm: treasure hunt and collectibles game. Collect pixel art characters from Bonifacio on your phone and discover their stories with the new Cryptors in the City app. Starting point: Bonifacio Citadel Municipal Tourist Office - Free app, available on the Apple Store and Google Play – Self-guided • From 10.00 to 18.00: temporary exhibition ‘Bonifacio through the ages’, marking the publication of the updated edition of *La Monographie de Bonifacio*. Espace Saint-Jacques, Upper Town • From 10.00 am to 5.30 pm: self-guided tour of the ‘Nimu Dormi’ (Persone ne Dort) contemporary art biennial by De Renava – Montlaur Barracks, in the Upper Town. Opening: new work in the Salle Capsule, ‘Ma Première Carcasse’, by Saveria Ancian, at 4.00 pm – Caserne Montlaur, in the Upper Town. Round-table discussion: dance, a form of socially engaged expression, at 6.30 pm – Halle de l’Arsenal, in the Upper Town. Vidéodrome: screenings of video works and a DJ set, at 9.30 pm – Impluvium, in the Upper Town. • 10.30 am: tour of the powder magazines in the Upper Town, which form an integral part of Bonifacio’s military history, with retired Lieutenant-Colonel Michel Tercé. Chapel of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine (Maison des Confréries), in the Upper Town – Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes – Limited to 16 people per tour – Booking essential • From 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm: a special opening of the Torrione Lookout, offering one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Citadel, with a 360° vista. • 8.00 pm: evening tour ‘Bonifacio through the ages’, with Nela Nino, tour guide. As night falls, Bonifacio reveals a completely different atmosphere.
