Walking

    Whether you’re a cycling enthusiast or new to electrically-assisted two-wheelers, you’ll find everything you need in Bonifacio: to park your equipment, to hire equipment, but above all to enjoy a leisurely ride along the roads and byways.     Public transport to the citadel

    Fun, punctual and frequent, Bonifacio’s little tourist train offers a pleasant first approach to the town, linking the Marina to the citadel. The ticket purchased at the port ensures you return to the departure point every 30 to 45 minutes. Departure is always from behind the harbor master’s office. The ticket office is next door. You’ll need to keep these tickets if you want to take the train back to Haute-Ville. Once the train is full, it will take you to the Carotola stop, a stone’s throw from Piazza Fondago, the citadel’s nerve center.

    Scooters and motorcycles

    Did you know? Due to their smaller size and lower fuel consumption, scooters and motorcycles are less polluting than cars. A good reason to switch to motorized two-wheelers for your visit to Corsica, and Bonifacio in particular. If you’re traveling with a motorcycle or scooter, be sure to use the dedicated, free parking areas for two-wheelers in Bonifacio. If you want to rent a scooter or motorcycle, you can have it delivered directly to Figari airport or to your place of residence in Bonifacio.

    Rent a car

    In Bonifacio or arriving by ferry from Sardinia: Centre Commercial Utile Bonifacio.
    If you’re arriving by plane at Figari, Ajaccio or Bastia airports, or by ferry from Porto-Vecchio or Propriano, you can choose from a wide range of local car rental agencies.

    Electric vehicles and charging stations

    Southern Corsica is equipped with a number of charging stations for all types of electric vehicle. To give you a clearer idea, here are the various locations where you can recharge your batteries in complete peace of mind when you come to the Sud-Corse. To find out more, the ChargeMap application helps you locate a large number of public charging stations and charging points deployed by certain manufacturers. Access to the ChargeMap map requires registration, which is completely free of charge.

      • Parking lot Carotola. Accelerated recharging, 1h30. Open to all 24/7. In the Upper Town, avenue Carotola. Payment by QR code on pay stations.
      • Parking Vitiello, private parking lot. Pay parking lot Open to all 24/7.2-minute walk from the Marina. An agent is on hand from 8am to 1:30pm and from 3pm to 7pm.
