Description

Canta U Populu Corsu, literally ‘The Corsican people sing’, is an iconic group in the world of traditional Corsican music. Founded in 1973, it plays a major role in the revival and transmission of singing in the Corsican language. Since 1981, the group has also been working to preserve this cultural heritage through singing schools, introducing younger generations to polyphonic singing and the Corsican language. A true symbol of the island’s identity, Canta U Populu Corsu keeps Corsican culture alive and promotes it through its passionate and authentic songs.
