EXPOSITION : BONIFACIO AU FIL DE L'HISTOIRE

In 2010, the Municipality of Bonifacio published a book devoted to the town’s history, geology, gastronomy, economy and environment. In 2026, 16 years later, under the scientific direction of Émilie Tomas, some fifty specialists have produced a new, expanded edition to provide a better understanding of Bonifacio, from its geological formation to the present day. A temporary exhibition, accessible to all, accompanies this publication. It showcases the project’s major discoveries as well as previously unseen archaeological artefacts from the sites of Araguina, Sennola, Cavallo, Piantarella and Montlaur. The municipality’s Heritage Department will be organising guided tours, complemented by a talk led by Alain Di Meglio, Didier Rey, Philippe Colombani and Erick Miceli. Open to all, this event invites you to explore the many facets of Bonifacio’s heritage and to enrich your visit through discussions with specialists. A temporary exhibition presented as part of the European Heritage Days, organised by the municipality of Bonifacio and supported by the Collectivité de Corse.
