Having always been passionate about architecture, photography and design, Giovanni Santi Laurini developed a particular sensitivity to lines, materials, light and atmospheres from a very early age. After studying civil engineering, he spent 14 years managing complex architectural projects for a discerning clientele. This experience sharpened his eye, honed his attention to detail and taught him to capture what gives a place its character and identity. Photography then naturally emerged as an extension of his passions. Having lived in Bonifacio for the past four years, Giovanni explores the town out of season, when the citadel takes on a more intimate and secluded atmosphere. He photographs its streets, architecture and hidden corners with a unique perspective, far removed from conventional representations. Through his images, he offers a sensitive and contemporary vision of Bonifacio, revealing its lines, contrasts, light and the full power of its heritage.
