Description

Through a rich and diverse programme, Festi Arte transforms Bonifacio into a stage open to Corsica, the Mediterranean and the world. Traditional music, contemporary works and international artistic expressions come together here in a fruitful dialogue between cultures, generations and regions. Spread across two iconic venues in the Upper Town – the Halle de l’Arsenal and Saint-Dominique Church – the concerts will highlight the links between artistic creation and intangible heritage. With two concerts a day, the festival will celebrate the traditions, memories and cultural expressions that shape the identity of the peoples of the Mediterranean. The programme will also feature meetings, round-table discussions and opportunities to engage with the artists, encouraging the sharing of knowledge and an openness to new artistic horizons. Discover the programme for these three evenings below: THURSDAY 1 OCTOBER • 7.30 pm: Naïssam Jalal, a breathtaking flautist and vocalist, and prolific composer, originally from Syria — Saint-Dominique Church • 9.30 pm: Festival after-parties with Original Kam’s, a reggae band from Côte d’Ivoire — Halle de l’Arsenal Refreshments on sale in aid of the Bonifacio Firefighters’ Association.
